The population of Europe has increased from around 50,000 in the first map to 408 million in 1900, and to a projected 517 million by 2150. At the same time Europe's percentage of world population had changed from less than 5% 100,000 years ago to a peak of 25% in 1900. By 2150 it will be 5% again.
